Hello, my name is James and I am The Handy Hand. The Handy Hand's HandyMan Services got started in the Maintenance Dept at the Medical Facility where I am currently employed. People took notice at the work that I did at the Facility and started asking me if I do side jobs, eventually I said sure, and word of mouth spread, and thus the creation of The Handy Hand HandyMan Services began. I specialize in small jobs, but will accept larger repair jobs if given a weeks notice. Here is a list of just some of the work I can perform for your home or business:
Repair or add copper plumbing up to 3 1/2 inch.
Repair or Replace bathroom/kitchen faucets
Repair/Replace water heaters gas or electric
Install/Repair irrigation systems
Repair/ Replace most types of toilets
Replace/Install a garbage disposal
Install filtered water systems
Repair/Add receptacles in any location 120/220 volt
Install ceiling fans/light fixtures
Troubleshoot most electrical problems ie: tripping breakers, bad outlets, light switches etc.
Install a light with a switch in almost any location in your home
Repair/Install wood fencing
Most types of light carpentry repairs
Troubleshoot most air conditioning or heating problems
Troubleshoot most evaporative cooler problems/ also perform annual maintenance
Install/ Repair most types of drywall with or without texture
Repair most types of exterior stucco walls
Interior or Exterior in any finish. Small rooms or whole house. All paint is rolled, and brushed, never sprayed.

I first got started with my schooling in the Refrigeration trade, and one thing led to another where I found myself working doing Apartment Maintenance, Office Building Maintenance, Maintenance for Health Clubs, and currently I am employed as the Maintenance Tech. for three Medical Facilities. Well, after 11 years of trial and error you get to a point where you can at least make it look like you know what your doing ( just kidding), truth is the Handy Hand prides itself on quality workmanship, with a meticulous eye for detail, backed by a satisfaction guaranteed warranty on all work.
* The Handy Hand holds a State certification in Heating, Air Conditioning, and Ventilation Repairs and installation.
* The Handy Hand also holds a State certification as a Commercial Pool Operator, which includes maintenance and troubleshooting of swimming pool systems and water testing.
Please give us a call or a E-Mail for our current rates. We charge a low, flat, hourly rate for all our work. Unscheduled emergency repairs are slightly higher. Our regular hourly rates apply to both weekdays and weekends. There is a one hour minimum charge on all work.
